If you look back, RBG clearly stated that RvW was a very controversial decision and would likely be overturned sometime soon on some technicality (same with Affirmative Action). For 8 years under Obama, our elected officials had the opportunity to codify abortion into law, but chose not to....why?.....I don't know? My guess is that the far left and the far right wouldn't /couldn't compromise and the administration didn't need it to look like a circus.
Dems only had a supermajority in the senate for a short period, there was only enough time to get Obamacare through. Republicans successfully ran out the clock on cap and trade, immigration reform, and abortion.
All I think of when I think of RBG is that her stubbornness resulted in the overturning of Roe v Wade. My blood boils when I think of her.
