It’s not often elections come down to such a cut and dried, yes/no dichotomy. Outside of party activists, many voters tend to weigh the options, reconcile them with their own belief systems and hold their nose while voting for someone they may not be 100% about. I get it.
But 2024 is probably the easiest election decision in the history of American history. Yes, easier than “Should Babe Ruth be in the Baseball Hall of Fame” or “Kelly Clarkson v. Justin Guarini.” This should be a no brainer. Its a “cat is spelled C-A-T”, “2+2= 4,” “the sky is blue and grass is green” level of simplicity. For the 2024 election, there are only three things you need to know.
Donald Trump was the worst President this country has ever had, and may be one of the worst human beings of the last 75 years. His entire record, from 1980 through his term in the White House only confirms this. Seldom has a man of such questionable scruples and horrible lack of conscience ever failed upward to such a height in modern society. Not only should he never be near the White House again, creditors should never lend him so much as a dollar and he should be in jail for any number of crimes. His style of management isn’t so much sound leadership as it is mafia crime boss. Most every sane person who has ever worked for him has regretted it, and publicly recanted the roles they played in his businesses and administration. He lacks intelligence, curiosity, and any moral compass whatsoever. His actions while President made the country and the world a far more dangerous place, a far less prosperous one, and one we are still trying to dig out from the problems he caused. He has threatened shooting dissenters (and tear gassed many just for a photo op), using a nuclear bomb to lessen the impacts of a hurricane, and slobbered all over American adversaries emboldening them, at the expense and embarrassment of our entire intelligence apparatus. He has threatened a 2nd Trump term would result in the US pulling out of NATO (while Eastern Europe is at war) and potentially breaching the debt ceiling putting the US in default for the first time in history; both of these propositions would result in disastrous outcomes for the US and the world. In a second Trump term, there would be no guardrails, and far fewer intelligent people in important positions of power that would push back on him. The single most poignant thing that has ever been written about Donald Trump is that “Everything Trump Touches Dies.”1 In short, the man is repugnant, immoral, has no sense or aptitude for the job, incompetent to the point of insanity, unconscionable, and an all around disaster. He would cause more problems than solve, would make the US a worse place, and would damage the country for decades.
The Republican Party is complicit in all of this. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
If you are apprehensive about voting Dem at all, for ideological or personal reasons, re-read reasons 1 and 2. Four years is a short time politically speaking and you might be able to vote for a normal candidate again in 2028.

Thank you Rick Wilson. No matter whatever else you do in life, this one line will go on to sum up the Trump Administration for the ages and will outlive all of us.
Purple, I am unsure of where you are on this... /s
If it weren’t for the Democrat’s general intolerance of pro-life politicians I wouldn’t give Republicans a second glance. As is, Trump is disastrous enough to potentially collapse the whole country. That would cause far more death and destruction than allowing abortion for four more years. I doubt I’m the only pro-life voter who believes this even if organizations like Susan B Anthony are blind enough to strap themselves to the sinking ship that is the GOP.
