I am a white male who is closer to 30. I definitely won’t spin a woe is me tale but moans about privilege ring pretty hollow to me. In my cohort, women outperformed men at high school and college. And I’ve had women managers most of my career to date.
I’m absolutely not negating your observation, but I will say it’s probably a generational thing. I’m a boomer and had more male managers in my youth, but that changed significantly when I got older.
I appreciate your commentary but white male privilege is a real thing and I think the majority of white male Dems understand that. However, if you’re trying to appeal to white male independents to reach that 40%, I would have to think you’re probably right that constantly making that point is fruitless.
I appreciate this article, I too am a white male closer to 60. I am also grateful for Biden and think he is an excellent president and that he should step aside for Harris. I also feel that white men like myself should get over getting their feelings hurt because someone, somewhere might think I am "bad" just because I'm white. The truth is that we do have privilege, we do have an edge over women and minorities that is the result of years and years of a white male dominated system. I'm sad at the notion that someone would not vote against a monster like Trump because their feelings got hurt. It's not about white men, it's about saving this democracy. White men who care about liberty and justice for "all" need to be in the mix regardless of how someone, somewhere might feel about you. We need to get over ourselves already. I hope you read this in the spirit in which it is offered. Have a wonderful day.
There is white privilege, but it is often oversold as automatically determining outcomes. It is also a bad idea for Democrats to talk about race so much - it really just makes everyone upset. Focus on economic issues that affect all Americans.

Speak for yourself boomer Dan

Toxic femininity is just as toxic as toxic masculinity.
Toxic masculinity often leads to abuse and sometimes death. So not samesies
